  1. The short answer is no. The long answer is no because electric deregulation is currently capped by State law at 10% of usage for both Consumers and DTE. These caps were met years ago, and the waiting list to use an alternaitve supplier is thousands of customers long. I also believe that businesses get priority over residential customers if there is an opening. I am honestly not even sure if there are any residential customers with an alternative electric supplier in Michigan. If there are, the number is very few.
